The idea behind the WordPress help desk plugin is to create a simple, easy to use helpdesk system from a default WordPress install.
WordPress already has much of the functionality of a helpdesk system, all that is needed was to make a few tweaks to make it work in a new way. WordPress already has a tried and true, secure and stable codebase, we can work with this existing system to expand it’s capability as a help desk system.
The plugin performs the following basic tasks:
- Retricts the system to registered users only
- Creates a new role end-user with limited rights
- Forces the user to select a category for the post.
